It is an ancient Medieval complex which has only been changed partly during the centuries until today. It is possible to see the passages of the different periods in the present structure. Raised on the top of a hill close to Montevarchi, the castle dominates from above, with its 450 metres, the whole Valdarno Superiore, offering a marvellous view over the Tuscan countryside, Pratomagno and the hills of the Chianti region. The visitor perceives and admires the complexity and the harmony of this beautiful landscape.

Around the castle, on its terraces, you find that the olive groves dominate the view, and further down forests embracing the panorama. A completely quiet farming landscape where silence and the old traditions reign. Known for its beauty and the extra virgin olive oil, Montozzi is today also famous for the warm atmosphere of its apartments which are furnished according the typical Tuscan style, with wooden ceiling and terracotta floor.

In the castle you are able to visit our shop with typical Tuscan products such as: Chianti Colli Fiorentini wines, extra virgin olive oil, vin santo, marmalades. A conference centre called "LA SCUDERIA", was recently opened, accessible even for disable people. It is easy to reach the most important art cities in Tuscany from the Castle, such as Arezzo (25 km), Florence (70 km), Siena (50 km) and San Gimignano (95 km). The Castle disposes of 3 restructured apartments in a farm house called "LA CANONICA" and in two houses called  "LA CASETTA" and  "LA LOGGETTA" which also feature private gardens and a big swimming pool. Not far away there are also 2 marvellous farm houses which have been restructured, "LA COLLINA" and "IL CASTELLARINO", each with private garden and swimming pool.
